I am working with a very exciting, incredibly well backed, start up, Biotech company with offices in Amsterdam and Zurich. They are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their exciting team.
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you'll play a key role in building user-facing applications that provide clinicians with fast, intuitive access to critical data—helping them make quicker, more accurate treatment decisions powered by AI.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve reusable UI components for medical-grade applications—such as image viewers, clinician dashboards, and performance monitoring tools
- Collaborate in design and feature planning discussions to help shape product direction
- Maintain and optimize development tools and infrastructure, including GitHub Actions, Docker configurations, and deployment pipelines
- Work closely with UX designers to bring Figma prototypes to life with pixel-perfect implementations
- Partner with the regulatory team to ensure smooth and compliant releases of medical software
- Rapidly prototype interfaces for fast iteration and user feedback
- Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
Experience
- 3+ years of professional front-end development experience
- Proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frameworks—preferably React
- Solid experience with testing tools like Jest, Vitest, and React Testing Library
- Understanding of authentication standards like SAML and OAuth
- Passion for modern UI development and emerging front-end practices
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Nice to have:
- Experience with advanced tools and frameworks like Tailwind, Next.js (SSR), Storybook, micro-frontends, and monorepos
- Familiarity with cloud-native development (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure)
- Background in usability, accessibility (WCAG), and standards such as IEC 62366-1 and ISO 9241-210
- Contributions to open-source projects or experience with DICOM formats
