Front End Developer

Overview

Our client — a long-established and proudly Australian organisation in the training and education space — is on the hunt for a Front-End Developer who lives and breathes UI/UX, thrives in VueJS, and can take ownership of product design from concept to launch.

This is more than just another front-end gig. You’ll be the first front-end hire and play a key role in building the product from the ground up — setting the standards, crafting the design system, and eventually growing a team around you. Responsibilities

• Drive the front-end strategy and build out the architecture from scratch
• Collaborate closely with a hands-on Product Owner to bring a complete product vision to life
• Build elegant, high-performing, and reusable VueJS components
• Turn ideas into wireframes and prototypes using tools like Figma
• Visualise user journeys and bring them to life through polished UI
• Integrate with middleware and APIs to deliver seamless user experiences
• Create and maintain a component library and design system with Storybook
• Lead by example — mentor junior developers and establish best practices
• Stay up to date with the latest in front-end tech and Agile workflows

About You

• Strong experience with VueJS
• Deep knowledge of UI/UX principles and best practices
• Experience using Figma (or similar) to create wireframes and visualise user flows
• A sharp eye for performance optimisation and responsive design
• Proven experience creating component libraries and scalable design systems
• A good grasp of middleware, APIs, and how the front end plugs into it all
• A collaborative mindset and leadership experience — you’ll be setting the tone for a growing team
• Comfort working in Agile environments and with modern front-end build tools
