Full Stack Developer

Overview

Our client is on the lookout for a Full Stack Developer to join a dynamic digital team working on impactful educational technology. If you’re an experienced PHP/Laravel developer with a solid VueJS front-end game and a sharp eye for clean, scalable code — this is the role for you.

You’ll be deeply involved in everything from designing robust backend logic to shaping sleek, intuitive user experiences. This is your chance to contribute to a high-performance learning platform used across Australia, with the freedom to influence architecture and development best practices

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust web applications using PHP (Laravel) and VueJS
• Craft polished front-ends with JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Use tools like Gulp, Webpack, or Vite to streamline builds
• Champion Test Driven Development (TDD) and peer code reviews
• Collaborate across the team — from developers to designers to system admins — to deliver high-quality releases
• Get hands-on with MySQL, Docker, and AWS infrastructure
• Contribute to the team’s design system and continuous integration pipelines
• Continuously improve performance, security, and code quality using SOLID principles and static analysis (PHPStan)

Skills

• 5+ years in full stack development (PHP + VueJS a must)
• Advanced skills in Laravel, MySQL, and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Comfort with build tools like Gulp, Webpack, or Vite
• Deep understanding of REST APIs, TDD, and front-end testing (e.g. Cypress, Vitest)
• Experience with Docker and cloud platforms like AWS (Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, RDS, Route 53)
• Passion for clean code, reusable components, and maintainable systems
• Proven ability to work in Agile environments
• A collaborative mindset with great communication and problem-solving skills
• A strong eye for user experience and visual design principles
• Bonus: Familiarity with LMS or edtech platforms
