Backend Engineer

OVERALL FUNCTION:

Being part of our Software Department, this role is vital for delivering high-quality software that powers shows such as Ed Sheeran and Metallica, festivals like Roskilde and Montreux Jazz Festival, providing a smooth and reliable user experience to our customers at all stages from planning to execution.

As a Backend Engineer at Meyer Sound, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side infrastructure that powers our cutting-edge applications and services.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Write clean, maintainable, and future-proof code, with unit tests

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and architect scalable backend solutions.

Develop, test, and maintain server-side applications

Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review and Retrospective)

Work together with other colleagues on software architecture

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role

Proficiency in Node.js, Python, Golang and/or Rust

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Previous exposure to container management and orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes, Nomad)

Familiarity with database management systems (SQL and NoSQL)

Proficient in RESTful API design and integration.

Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices

Understanding of Git and setting up CI/CD pipelines
