Software Engineer

Processing data is our core business. We use data to develop, train and implement models as well as creating a more in-depth understanding of the business processes at our clients. We believe that data should never be processed in isolation or without the proper context. Thereforewe only supply contextual analytics that take into account what the data represents and not just the numberof text that has been stored in a file or database. In order to achieve this, we have also developedour own products to support the delivery of results to our clients.

Role

As a software engineer you will be working closely with our analysts and data engineers on the development of our products as well as support our clients in improving their code.

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into a technical design
• Write code in Python, Java, C++ or JavaScript
• Design architectures for front and back-end applications
• Perform code (peer) reviews and provide quality assurance
• Ensure delivery of software that complies to our and external compliance standards.
• Software deployment in our own or client (cloud) environment

Your main responsibility will be the development and maintenance of our software tools, but we encourage participation on client projects. This will ensure our teams will receive the best guidance on code development and deployment, but also allows you to gain a better understanding of the sectors that our clients operate in.

Your profile

We are looking for ambitious people that have a clear understanding of mathematics and how to apply it. Additionally, we expect you to want to thoroughly understand what the data represents and therefore should have an intrinsic drive to learn and understand the business processes of our clients.

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or Data Science
• 5 years of working experience Required skillset:
• Strong foundation in multiple programming languages (Java, Rust, Scala, Python,..)
• Ability to design and implement software products
• Experience with one of more cloud providers
