Join Our Team as a Site Reliability Engineer!

Join one of our Core Tech teams: Developer Experience, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Observability, or Data Engineering as a Mid Site Reliability Engineer!

As part of a platform group, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the core infrastructure and engineering processes that underpin our organization's products and services. Your focus will be on ensuring that these critical systems and tools are highly available, scalable, secure, and easy to use for our teams to build, maintain, and deploy new products.

You will work in close collaboration with fellow Site Reliability Engineers and cross-functional product teams. Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will receive guidance to foster your professional growth and make a lasting impact across the organization.

What You Will Be Doing

• Be a part of the OLX SRE Organization who provides support for the development team to ensure scalability, high-availability, deployment, and performance.
• Educate and share responsibility within the organization in diagnosing, resolving, and proactively preventing production issues.
• Automate as much as humanly possible and always configure as code.
• Take operational responsibility for the services that we own, including taking part in an on-call rotation, practicing balanced incident response, and blameless postmortems.
  
  

Who We Are Looking For

• Someone with enthusiasm and initiative in embedding a DevOps mindset into everyday ways of working, with a strong focus on automation and tightening feedback loops.
• A problem-solver who applies software engineering principles to deployment and operational challenges.
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages: Python, Go, or Java.
• Understanding containers and orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience working with AWS in a production environment. Certification is nice to have, but not essential.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with Gitlab and/or Jenkins pipelines as code.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for systems and networks.
• Ability to develop and maintain clear technical documentation and operational procedures.
