A growing consultancy is currently seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Data & AI to lead and drive their focus on data and artificial intelligence. Part of a larger international group with thousands of professionals globally, the local team works on high-impact projects across both the public and private sectors in Norway.
The Role: Head of Data & AI
As Head of Data & AI, you’ll hold a central role with both strategic and hands-on responsibilities. You’ll help shape the company's offerings in data and AI, advise clients, and work on project delivery, all while building and leading a top-tier technical team. You’ll also be part of the company’s leadership group in Norway.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing strategic advice and technical expertise to clients, with a focus on scalable, innovative solutions.
- Playing a key role in recruiting and developing a strong Data & AI team.
- Building a high-performing team of specialists.
- Supporting business development by contributing to client meetings, proposals, and negotiations.
- Defining the company’s Data & AI roadmap, balancing short-term impact with long-term vision.
- Working closely with sales to align offerings with market demand.
What We're Looking For
- 7–10+ years of experience in data analytics, machine learning, or AI.
- Consulting and project delivery experience (ideally within the consultancy sector).
- Strong professional network and presence in the data/AI community.
- Fluency in Norwegian (written and spoken).
- Hands-on expertise in platforms like Azure Synapse, AWS SageMaker, Snowflake, Fabric, Databricks, etc.
- Experience with Data Lakehouse architectures, predictive modeling, and generative AI.
- Previous experience in recruitment and technical leadership.
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with data/AI-related security and compliance considerations.
