Application Project Manager (Retail ERP/POS)

We are seeking an experienced Retail Application Project Manager to lead the successful implementation and optimization of our ERP and POS systems within a retail environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring that our ERP and POS solutions align with business goals and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end implementation, upgrades, and optimization of ERP and POS systems within the retail industry.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, vendors, and end-users to ensure ERP/ POS solutions meet organizational requirements.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance retail operations by integrating best practices and automation through ERP/ POS functionalities.
  • Change Management: Develop training programs and support end-user adoption to maximize the efficiency of ERP/ POS solutions.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure smooth project execution within budget and timelines.
  • Data & Analytics: Work with business intelligence teams to ensure ERP/POS systems provide accurate and actionable retail analytics.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure ERP/ POS systems adhere to retail regulations, security standards, and industry best practices.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing retail ERP or POS system implementations (Retail Pro, SAP Retail, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
  • Strong project management skills, with expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze business processes and translate them into ERP/POS system requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience with data integration, reporting, and analytics within ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, supply chain, and inventory management.


Preferred Experience:

  • Techno-functional background with prior experience in programming/ scripting would be a big plus
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP modules like inventory management, CRM, finance, and procurement.
  • Familiarity with omnichannel retail environments.
