Key Roles And Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Design & Deployment:
Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure solutions
on AWS.
Manage VPCs, subnets, route tables, and NAT gateways for proper network segmentation and communication.
Automation & CI/CD
Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or
AWS CDK.
Set up CI/CD pipelines using AWS Code Pipeline, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar
tools.
Monitoring & Optimization
Monitor infrastructure using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third-party tools (e.g.,
Datadog, Prometheus).
Identify cost optimization opportunities and implement best practices to reduce cloud
expenses.
Security & Compliance
Implement IAM policies, roles, and least-privilege access controls.
Ensure compliance with security standards (e.g., ISO, SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA as
applicable). Manage and automate backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies.
Operational Support
Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and application-level issues.
Perform routine maintenance tasks and upgrades.
Collaborate with DevOps, developers, and other teams to support cloud-based
applications.
Skills
Expertise in core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, VPC, Route 53,
IAM, CloudWatch, CloudFormation).
Strong understanding of networking (DNS, VPN, load balancing, firewalls, etc.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Familiarity with Linux system administration and shell scripting
Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git).
Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Relevant certifications are a plus.
Minimum of 6-7 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
