Senior Software Engineer

A cutting-edge technology firm is looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join its Sensor Fusion AI team. This role is focused on building and optimizing internal software tools and automated workflows to power advanced sensor fusion engines in real-time environments.

You’ll play a critical role in developing high-performance systems and pipelines for AI and data processing, enabling real-world applications across dynamic and complex environments. Collaborate with engineers, drone operators, and AI researchers to support field testing, data handling, and performance benchmarking.

Key Responsibilities:

•Design and build internal tools for data processing, automation, benchmarking, and testing

•Profile and optimize critical code for performance, scalability, and low latency

•Develop and maintain automated workflows and pipelines (CI/CD, MLOps, DataOps)

•Work with field engineers to gather and analyse real-world sensor data

•Manage end-to-end data engineering workflows

•Troubleshoot software issues and enhance system reliability

•Refactor code and uphold strong testing and documentation standards

•Collaborate within a high-performing, cross-functional AI/engineering team

•Contribute to technical decisions shaping the future of deployed sensor systems

What You Bring:

•A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience

•5+ years of experience in a software engineering environment

•Strong background in CI/CD, DataOps, or MLOps pipeline creation

•Proficient in object-oriented programming, ideally C++

•Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and applied mathematics/physics

•Comfortable working in Linux environments with containerisation tools

Bonus Points For:

•Experience in data engineering or AI/ML systems

•Proficiency in C++ and build/test tooling (CMake)

•Background in GPU-based development (TensorRT, CUDA)

•Knowledge of sensor fusion or object tracking algorithms
