Our client, a pioneering Swiss company based in Biel, is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join their innovative engineering team. As a leader in the field of precision machining systems, our client specializes in the development of advanced solutions for industrial applications. They are looking for a talented Software engineer with expertise in automation and software development to contribute to the enhancement of their high-performance machine tools.

Key Technologies & Skills:

• REST, ASP.NET, OPC UA
• Industry 4.0 concepts
• IT & networking fundamentals
• HMI definition & development
• Multilingual environment: English (required), French/German (plus)

About the Role:

As a Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and optimization of our client's industrial machine software. Working cross-functionally with various departments, you will help define specifications, implement automation programs, and ensure the consistent performance of complex production equipment. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a flexible, international environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HES/EPF) in Software, Automation, or Industrial Systems Engineering.
• Solid experience in machine tools, industrial automation, and software development.
• Proficiency in C++ and C#; knowledge of Beckhoff/Siemens tools is a strong asset.
• Strong computer and networking knowledge.
• Fluency in English (B2+); French or German is a plus.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with web technologies (e.g., REST, ASP.NET).
• Familiarity with OPC and Industry 4.0.
• Ability to define and develop human-machine interfaces (HMI).
• Team-oriented mindset with a solution-driven approach.

Location: Biel, Switzerland / Hybrid

Salary: CHF 100'000 - CHF 135'000 + Bonus + Benefits
