Location: Brussels, Belgium
Rate: Up to €425/day
Eligibility: EU candidates only (due to security clearance requirements)
Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced AI / ML / NLP Expert to join our team in Brussels, Belgium. The successful candidate will support our client onsite and collaborate with their IT department. Work may be conducted at either the company’s premises or the customer’s location.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather business requirements and analyze advanced AI solutions, or identify and assess existing machine learning, data mining, and BI solutions.
- Design IT architecture for AI/ML/NLP applications and oversee implementation with consideration for master and metadata management.
- Develop user interfaces with a strong emphasis on usability and user experience.
- Create and evaluate data models, and perform data mining using advanced techniques.
- Contribute to analytics architecture, including solution design, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Build and monitor automated anomaly detection systems.
- Support the development of data management strategies and translate them into IT requirements.
- Conduct business process modeling, including risk assessments.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: University degree in IT or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 17 years of professional experience in IT, with strong expertise in the following areas:
Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms (e.g., k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, Neural Networks).
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and full NLP systems lifecycle.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices.
- Proficiency with Graph Databases and big data analytics.
- Skilled in predictive/prescriptive analytics, sentiment analysis, social media data processing, recommendation systems, etc.
- Experience with corpus-based linguistics, alignment models, and classification techniques.
- Expertise in unstructured data and data lake environments.
- Solid understanding of ETL tools (e.g., SAS, Talend Open Studio).
- Programming proficiency in R, Python, PERL.
Tooling & Methodologies:
- Strong command of data modeling and analysis tools (e.g., UML, BPMN, ER diagrams).
- Familiar with BI tools like Tableau, Qlik, SAS, and SAP.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Hadoop).
- Knowledge of scalable data architecture design.
Language Requirements
- Excellent written and spoken English.
