We invite an experienced Data Scientist / AI Expert (Smart Energy Solutions) to join our team. You will be responsible for the development, implementation, support, and maintenance of the IT ecosystem for providing new services to Latvian energy consumers. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:

• Proposing and implementing artificial intelligence ideas that will transform tomorrow's digital customer and employee experiences
• Develop and implement data-driven models and analyses to support decision-making in business processes
• Identify and develop new AI-enabled services for customers (e.g., personalized tariff plans, optimal consumption recommendations, accurate consumption forecasting, customer support tools)
• Working with large datasets, including both structured and unstructured data
• Monitoring market trends, analyzing artificial intelligence application opportunities, and implementing pilot projects for proposed ideas
• Ensure the deployment and maintenance of models and solutions in a production environment (service deployment and maintenance, model training and evaluation)
• Collaborate closely with IT development, product, and business teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives.
  
  
  

Required for this position:

• At least one year of experience in developing and applying artificial intelligence solutions in business environments
• Strong programming skills (e.g., Python) for model development, data analysis, machine learning, and working with GenAI libraries
• An understanding of the value created by rapid prototyping, MVPs, or pilot projects, with direct involvement in their implementation
• Proficiency in Latvian and English (oral and written) as this role involves regular communication with international colleagues and partners
  
  
  

Would be an advantage:

• Experience or interest in working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Understanding of MLOps (Machine Learning Operations) principles and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines)

Salary range for this position group: is 3405 to 5108 EUR (before taxes). The final offer depends on experience and competence. Variable part of remuneration may be paid depending on results.
