Freelance Engineering Manager - PHP & TypeScript

For one of our long-standing partners in the media space, we're looking for a strong Engineering Manager with deep experience in PHP, React, TypeScript & ideally cloud technologies like AWS.

This contract is fully remote, open to candidates across Europe, but requires a high level of English speaking.

It's initially a 6-month engagement and is full time.

You can start on Monday if you're available, so urgency is required!

The Client

• High Growth Media Scale Up, well backed and rapidly growing customer base.

Responsibilities

• Lead a distributed team of 4 Engineers through a long-term migration from PHP to TypeScript.
• Effectively manage stakeholders throughout the business, from Sales to Senior Management.
• Main Tasks: Code Reviews, Feature Timeline Estimates, Stakeholder Management, Fire Fighting, Landscape Stabilisation, System Design
