Job Title: IT Project Manager
Location: Sydney
Hybrid | 12-month fixed-term contract
Position Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects within deadlines and budget. You will coordinate team efforts, manage resources, and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a strong understanding of IT project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Management: Develop comprehensive project plans that align with customer requirements and company goals. Manage project scope, schedule, and costs to ensure successful project delivery.
- Budget Management: Create and manage project budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively and projects are delivered within budget constraints.
- Resource Coordination: Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths. Ensure resource availability and allocation to meet project demands.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project expectations, progress, and any changes to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner. Facilitate regular status meetings and provide detailed reports.
- Performance Tracking: Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively manage changes in project scope and devise contingency plans.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and motivate project team members. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations. Conduct regular quality reviews and implement improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of IT project management experience, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex IT projects from initiation to completion.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), IT infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and guide project teams to achieve project goals.
- Project Management Tools: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA) and collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams).
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
