This role involves research and practical implementation in Explainable AI (XAI), aiming to develop transparent AI models for decision support, with a focus on real-world applications.
Responsibilities include designing explainability models, testing on platforms, studying generalization, and managing uncertainty in AI systems.Key DutiesConduct research on explainability methodologies in AI.Design self-explanatory models, especially neural networks, for decision transparency.Study generalization mechanisms in AI models.Manage uncertainty to improve confidence and interpretability.Develop communication strategies for explainability in AI.RequirementsEducation: Master's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or similar; Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar.Essential Knowledge and Experience: AI engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Explainable AI techniques.Additional Knowledge and Experience: Python programming, frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX; LaTeX, PySpark (preferred).Competences: Problem-solving, proactive attitude, result-oriented work, good communication skills, proficiency in English.ConditionsLocation: Barcelona, within the Computer Sciences Department.Contract: Full-time, open-ended, with benefits including flexible hours, training, health insurance, relocation support.Start Date: 01/07/2025.Application ProcedureApply via the BSC website with a full CV, motivation letter, and references.
