About The Role
Class Development (M-SD) is one of five operational units within Ship Classification in Maritime. M-SD contributes to Maritime Strategic Goals through initiatives focusing on developing future ways of service delivery to improve customer satisfaction, quality and efficiency. Digitalization is a key vehicle for success. Our initiatives are organized in development programs. M-SD has approximately 125 permanent employees spread across Høvik, Hamburg, Gdynia, Shanghai and Pune. Additionally, the unit engages sub-contractors on a temporary basis.
We are seeking project manager(s) for IT projects.
The Project Manager is a vital role in Class Development, responsible for hands-on project management to support global program goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in executing projects and implementing IT solutions in the maritime industry.
Key responsibilities include planning, leading, organizing, and motivating project teams to achieve high performance and quality. The role requires using agile methods in a fast-paced environment to deliver exceptional business value to our customers.

Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and oversee software development projects from start to finish.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality requirements.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams including developers, designers, testers, and other relevant professionals.
- Identify and manage risks and challenges that may arise during the project.
- Communicate effectively with product owners and other stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are met.
- Prepare and present status reports and project updates to program management.

Qualifications
About you
- Bachelor's degree or higher in in technological sciences, Software Development, or Project Management.
- Solid understanding of the maritime industry and preferably class systematics.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in Software Development.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire the team.
- Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies such as Desing Thinking, Agile and Scrum.
- Experience with project management tools like Jira Cloud, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Fluency in Norwegian is a plus.
