About us

Chargitect is an ambitious, pre-seed funded startup revolutionizing charging and energy management for electric vehicle fleets in the transportation industry. Our platform helps fleet operators optimize daily operations by balancing routes and energy demands, minimizing downtime, and maximizing cost efficiency. Our team is based in Bergen, and are currently part of StartupLab’s accelerator program.


About the role

We’re seeking a Software Engineer to join our team and lead the next phase of Chargitect’s growth. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping our technical vision together with our talented team of engineers, driving the implementation of cutting-edge practices. Your work will be instrumental in scaling our platform, aligning technology with business goals, and creating solutions that redefine charging efficiency for heavy-duty vehicle fleet operators.


Key responsibilities

We are mainly working with Python, Azure, PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, InfluxDB, Elixir and Phoenix LiveView

As a part of Chargitect, your main responsibilities will be:

· Design and implement backend services with a focus on performance and scalability.

· Drive architecture decisions and ensure scalability and maintainability of Chargitects overall system architecture.

· Collaborate with front-end developers to create user-friendly interfaces.

· Participate in code reviews, testing and CI/CD.

· Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in software design.


About you

· You understand how to build robust, scalable and secure backends, including experience with databases, APIs, and performance optimization.

· Experience within Azure and/or other cloud-based infrastructure.

· Familiarity with integrations between systems.

· You thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, enjoy taking ownership, and know how to get things done both on a self-driven level as well as within the team.

An understanding of IoT systems and experience with the data pipelines, analytics and infrastructure that support them is beneficial.
