Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Sydney, NSW. The Senior Java Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications. Day-to-day tasks include coding in Java, working with the Spring Framework, developing microservices, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness of the applications.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Java Programming and Software Development
• Experience with Microservices architecture and development
• Proficiency in the Spring Framework
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience in cloud computing and data technologies is a plus

Job Description-

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience with Apache Kafka for building real-time data pipelines and streaming applications.
• Extensive experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Proficiency in working with Cassandra or other NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
