Software Development engineer (C++)

We are now looking for a Software Development engineer with strong skills in C++ to join Navigation RT. Our teams work on Navigation, Radar and Planning software for the maritime industry. This position is permanent and possible locations are Belgrade, Serbia; Helsinki, Finland or Hamburg, Germany

What you will be doing?

Your work includes development of the Navigation software, which is used both onboard the vessels and as a part of navigation training center. You will satisfy upcoming certification requirements and adopt the software to the new customer’s needs.

As a Software Development Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain maritime navigation software using C++
• Creating unit tests
• Improving the software components design
• Ensure high code quality, participate in the Code Review
• Participate in the Agile activities
  
  

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• Excellent knowledge of the C++ programming language
• Technical and communication English
• Good communication skills
• Great skills of improving products with a lot of legacy.
  
  

Will be a plus:

• Experience with maritime navigation will be an advantage
• Knowledge of Qt
• Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices
