Data Analyst

A leading insurance client of ours is seeking a skilled and driven Data Analyst to join their high-performing IT team. We are looking at candidates that have insurance experience and are truly passionate about data!

Responsibilities

• Analyze data sets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights, delivering clear and compelling reports to stakeholders
• Design, develop, and maintain complex queries and reporting tools across various platforms
• Produce scheduled and ad hoc reports tailored to the needs of internal teams and external partners
• Maintain and enhance the current reporting suite, ensuring accuracy and relevance of filters and datasets
• Collaborate closely with business teams to support data-driven strategy and forecasting
• Partner with senior leadership to prioritize data initiatives and align reporting with business goals
• Act as the main point of contact for third-party service providers and capital partners, attending relevant meetings and calls
• Continuously seek out process improvements to enhance efficiency and data quality across reporting systems

Candidate Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in the Analytics space
• Proven commercial experience within the Insurance industry is essential
• Proven track record in SQL query writing for reporting and ad hoc data exploration
• Advanced skills in reporting tools such as Power BI, SSRS, and Excel (including Macros)
• Solid understanding of the data lifecycle, with the ability to manage and optimize data in SQL databases
• Exceptional analytical thinking, with the ability to explain insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging with executives and external partners
