We're currently looking for a UI Designer to join our team in Gamla Stan, Stockholm (soon Norra Bantorget as we’ve grown out of our current office space). What You’ll Do as a UI Designer!
In your role, you will have a wide range of tasks that involve visual ownership of all products and deliveries. You will drive the design work of all Navigraph's products. You will be responsible for the design system used by the development teams. In your role, you will be important in inspiring, reinforcing, and maintaining the development team's visual and creative spirit. But also make sure that the teams understand the visual vision working towards a common goal.
Who You Are!
We need a team player who can take the initiative, develop solutions, provide guidance and inspiration about the visuals to the teams. But also work in tight collaboration on a daily basis with the developers and product organisation on ongoing features and projects.
What We’re Looking For!
Design
- At least 5+ years of experience in the interactive design area working with digital product companies.
- Expertise in UI design with Figma.
- Proven experience with design systems management. Building, evolving and enforcing consistency in a product’s design language.
- Proven track record designing for web, mobile (iOS & Android) and at least one native desktop platform.
- Hands-on experience with design for developer hand-off and workflows.
- Ability to document style guides, component specs and redline assets so developers can implement faithfully. Experience working within brand guidelines.
- Proficiency in vector design tools (Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer etc) to craft custom icons, logos, and scalable assets.
- Proficiency in raster-based editing tools (e.g. Adobe Photoshop) for high-quality asset creation, photo retouching, compositing and UI optimization.
- Skilled in creating micro-interactions and motion design: After Effects, Rive, Lottie, or equivalents.
- Experience in creating intuitive and visually appealing UI for web applications ensuring a seamless and visually appealing UX.
- A strong portfolio in showcasing design, UI, including web and mobile applications.
- Can deliver production-ready animation specs (e.g. easing curves, timing, keyframes) that developers can translate directly into code.
- Familiar with responsive design principles and accessibility (WCAG) best practices.
Product, Business and Strategic Thinking
- Experience with stakeholder management. Able to articulate design rationale, review feedback and align with engineers, executives and product managers.
- Ability to translate abstract ideas into simple, usable interfaces.
- Ability to balance user needs with business goals.
- Experience designing for complex, evolving product ecosystems.
- Experience leading design sprints, reviews and cross-functional workshops.
- Very good communication skills in both written and spoken English.
Nice to have!
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS, React or React Native) to ensure designs are feasible and optimized.
- Ability to support and guide junior designers.
- Familiarity with aviation or mapping-related interfaces (charts, dashboards, data visualizations).
- Experience with prototyping and wireframing, creating low and high-fidelity mockups and user flows to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Experience with using metrics, A/B testing results, heatmaps, and user feedback to refine designs.
- Flight sim experience or an interest in flying.
