Senior Cloud Security Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Security Specialist to join our cybersecurity team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining web application firewall rules specifically targeting anti-automation (bots) to protect client applications and infrastructure.

Responsibilities


  • Design, implement, configure, and maintain Web Application Firewall policies related to anti-automation
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to WAF alerts and incidents
  • Develop, review, and update WAF policies and rulesets to protect against new and emerging bots
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Application Development, and Network teams to ensure the secure deployment of web applications
  • Mentor application teams on anti-automation defense design and changes needed by the WAF
  • Develop review and integrate new WAF policies to protect API and mobile endpoints from bots
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting WAF-related issues and incidents
  • Stay current with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices related to WAF technologies
  • Create and maintain documentation for WAF configurations, policies, and incident response procedures
  • Be available for on-call shifts and incidents as they occur
  • Train and mentor junior team members on WAF security best practices


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience working with Web Application Firewalls (WAF), including configuration and management
  • Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, web application security, and secure coding practices
  • Proficiency in managing WAF technologies such as AWS WAF, Cloudflare WAF, F5 BIG-IP ASM, Imperva, or similar
  • Experience with HTTP/HTTPS protocols, TLS/SSL, and web application architectures
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols, firewall rules, and security best practices
  • Experience with SIEM tools, security monitoring, and incident response
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, at a minimum B2 level


Nice to have


  • Professional certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CISM, or relevant WAF certifications
  • Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline security
  • Familiarity with API security and microservices architecture
