Software Developer (12 month contract)

Position Purpose:

Maintain and enhance legacy systems for 12 months, ensuring they remain robust and functional while integrating modern functionality as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update existing codebases to ensure system stability.
• Debug and resolve issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
• Document legacy code and processes to facilitate future maintenance and upgrades.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and technologies.
• Participate in afterhours release process if required (minimal)
  
  

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in programming languages
• VB6, VB.Net, C# (Desktop App)
• ASP.NET, React, Node.JS (Web Portals)
• MS SQL Server 2016
• Strong understanding of legacy system architectures and frameworks.
• Experience with database management systems and technologies relevant to legacy applications
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues within old codebases.
