Insights Analyst – Power BI

Our client is a trusted and well-known organisation across Australia.

Due to continued growth across their data analytics function, a new position has become available for an Insights Analyst to join the team.

Along with your strong communication experience, you will be working both internally within the data function and data engineers to delivery on the needs of the business.

Responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports
• Work with the data to transform it from various sources to ensure accuracy and consistency across reports
• Complying to data governance stands and policies
• Working with end users on Power BI solutions and best ways of working
• Communicating with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand their needs and deliver their requirements
• Working with the data engineering teams to develop customised BI solutions
• Understanding trends, patterns in data to support business strategies.

To be considered for this role, you will have experience:

• Experience working in a commercial / enterprise environment with MS Power BI, including Power Query, DAX and report development (minimum 2 years)
• Good understanding of Power BI desktop and Power BI Service
• Strong knowledge of SQL
• Develop and reporting within Power BI and SSRS
• Working with creating and maintaining efficient and well-structured data model
• Ability to work with various stakeholders and understand their needs.
