Your role and responsibilities

In this job, you’ll create and improve standard designs for equipment, systems, or installations. You’ll use common design concepts to make drawings, calculations, and specifications. Your expertise will shine through design reviews and adjustments as needed.

This role is contributing to the ABB Drives in Jüri, Estonia.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Contributing to the preparation of specific aspects of design assignments to meet contractual obligations, adhering to relevant standards, safety, cybersecurity, and quality requirements.
• Ensuring that the Bill of Materials for the project meets contractual obligations and project gross margin requirements by not generating Project Left-Over Material.
• Coordinating with manufacturing and testing functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured/staged and tested, updating the engineering deliverables as built.
• Using standard processes and tools and assisting in developing new processes and tools to reuse technical solutions.
• Thermal and stress analysis with simulation tools
  
  

Qualifications for the role

• You are highly skilled in Mechanical Engineering and have the relevant educational background
• You possess an enhanced knowledge of sheet metal design and production
• You are passionate about teamwork and problem-solving, and have the ability to understand the influence of selected solutions on the surrounding environment
• You are at ease communicating in English.
