- Advanced Analytics and Modeling:
- Design, develop, and deploy state-of-the-art predictive models and algorithms using platforms like Google Cloud Platform's Vertex AI (AutoML, BigQuery ML), Azure Machine Learning, or AWS SageMaker, to address critical challenges and opportunities in the aviation industry.
- Explore advanced time series forecasting techniques like ARIMA, TFT, or dense time series models to predict future trends and optimize decision-making.
- Optimization and Automation:
- Continuously refine and optimize machine learning models to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Identify opportunities for automation using machine learning to streamline processes and reduce manual workload.
- Collaboration and Innovation: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software engineers, aviation experts, and business stakeholders to co-create innovative solutions that address real-world challenges and deliver tangible business value.
- Research and Development: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, AI, and aviation technology, and proactively explore emerging trends and methodologies to drive continuous innovation and improvement.
- Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear, compelling presentations and reports, and actively engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Aviation Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a Data Scientist or similar role, preferably within the aviation industry or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, as well as experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy, scikit-learn).
- Strong understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms such as regression, classification, clustering, neural networks, etc., and experience applying them to real-world problems.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
- Knowledge of aviation operations and industry-specific challenges and opportunities is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues across various disciplines and levels of the organization.
