Security Administrator

Job Purpose

The Security Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security measures to protect the organization's IT infrastructure, applications, and data. This role ensures the safeguarding of systems through expertise in Azure security, Kubernetes security, firewall management, web application protection, and network traffic analysis, maintaining a proactive approach to cybersecurity.

Job Accountabilities

• Secure Kubernetes clusters with RBAC, pod security policies, and network policies.
• Manage and configure firewalls from multiple vendors (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto).
• Deploy and manage WAF solutions to protect web applications.
• Analyze network traffic to identify anomalies and mitigate risks.
• Deploy and manage secure email gateways and internet filtering solutions.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure application design.
• Fix any security vulnerability related to policies / design / security devices

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.

Experience

• Minimum 8 years in cybersecurity, with hands-on experience in Azure security, Kubernetes, firewalls, WAF, and network traffic analysis.

Job Specific Skills

• Deep understanding of Azure security services, Kubernetes security, firewall management, WAF, and network analysis tools.

Preferred Certification/ Training

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
• Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
