Cloud Software Engineer (Java) – Front Office Trading

What You’ll Be Doing

As a key member of the engineering team, you will:

• Drive the cloud strategy for latency-critical trading applications
• Enhance software governance and real-time monitoring tools
• Improve automation across development, testing, and deployment pipelines
• Educate teams on cloud architecture and DevOps best practices
• Collaborate directly with Traders, Sales, and Client Services to support the eFX trading system
• Develop and maintain tools for pricing, risk management, and client analytics
• Architect and evolve the eFX platform’s overall software design
• Deliver production-ready tools and enhancements in an agile, iterative environment
• Occasionally provide oversight of the systematic risk engine during Asian trading hours
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and governance standards

What We’re Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience with Java development
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and distributed systems architecture
• Experience in microservices design and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
• Skilled in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Helm, Terraform, Git, TeamCity)
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Cortex, Loki, Tempo)
• Experience in financial markets or electronic trading environments is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of key projects
