Network Engineer

Morgan McKinley is seeking a Network Engineer for a 12- month contract assignment with our multinational client, a leading social media technology company.

Responsibilities:

• Network Maintenance & Support: Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal network performance, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and timely issue resolution.
• Incident Response: Address network incidents promptly, assess the impact, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and business disruptions.
• User Support: Deliver exceptional support to users experiencing network-related issues, addressing concerns promptly and effectively.
• Project Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network-related tasks within broader projects, ensuring seamless integration and minimal system disruption.

Qualifications:

• With 1-2 years of experience in managing and maintaining large-scale network infrastructure, focusing on enterprise network operations to ensure consistent performance and reliability.
• Proficiency in Mandarin language is required to engage with external partners in China.
• With operations and support background (troubleshooting and maintenance, rather than design/installation or deployment)
• Scripting/Coding in languages such as Python is a plus
• Has 1+ years of experience with Layer 2 protocols and enhancements (e.g., LACP, L2 ECMP, 802.1d/w/s, 802.1x)
• Solid understanding of Layer 3 protocols (IPv4/v6, TCP, UDP) and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, MP-BGP, MPLS)
• Proficiency in stateful firewalls, non-stateful filtering, and packet inspection
• Experience with AWS network services (VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, CloudWAN) is a plus
• Strong knowledge of Meraki and Juniper products
• Candidates must be flexible to be in on-call duties including weekends and public holidays if needed.
