Role Description

Hesperian Ventures is seeking a Venture Capital & Venture Scout Intern to support two key initiatives:

• LP Syndicate Outreach: Help build relationships with Limited Partners (LPs) such as Family Offices, Angel Investors, Corporate VCs, and Institutional Investors for Hesperian Ventures.
• Startup Deal Sourcing & Venture Scouting: Identify and evaluate promising AI, Blockchain, and Fintech startups for potential investment and advisory opportunities.

This role is ideal for MBA students, finance students, or individuals passionate about venture capital, investor relations, and startup deal flow. You will gain hands-on exposure to VC fundraising, investor relations, deal sourcing, and startup evaluation.

Required Qualifications

• Current MBA/Finance/Business student or recent graduate with an interest in venture capital, startups, or investor relations
• Strong research & analytical skills – ability to identify LPs, analyze startups, and track industry trends
• Exceptional communication skills – ability to engage with investors, founders, and partners professionally via email, LinkedIn, and calls
• Strong attention to detail – ability to maintain investor databases, track startup interactions, and summarize key findings
• Proficiency in Google Sheets, CRM tools, and presentation software (PowerPoint, Canva, Notion, etc.)
• Experience in venture capital, market research, and financial modeling
• Understanding of AI and Blockchain technologies
• Exceptional communication and networking skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Pursuing or completed an MBA or relevant advanced degree
• Experience in startups or the tech industry is a plus

Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications

• Prior experience in VC, investment banking, private equity, startup incubators, or consulting
• Understanding of fund structures, SAFE notes, SPVs, and venture syndicates
• Existing startup founder, investor, or accelerator network for sourcing deals
