About The Role

Glassnode is seeking an experienced macro analyst to join our Insights and Studio Analyst team, focusing on the intersection of traditional financial and digital asset markets. This team plays a pivotal role on the commercial side of the organisation, collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, business development, account management, and product teams to drive institutional business growth.

The role involves conducting in-depth blockchain (on-chain) and digital asset analyses within the broader context of financial markets. This includes taking innovative concepts from on-chain analytics and demonstrating their relevance to market trends and cycles in digital assets, as well as their interplay with traditional markets. The position demands a strong background in macro analysis and research, a deep understanding of institutional trading and investment strategies, and a strong interest in behavioural finance, alongside a fundamental grasp of major blockchains and digital asset markets.

The primary objective is to solidify Glassnode’s reputation as the leading provider of blockchain intelligence by delivering advanced research, advisory, and educational content across its Studio and Insights products.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Drive Glassnode’s thought leadership strategy:
  
  

Take ownership of creating high-impact, authoritative content that cements Glassnode’s position as a leader in blockchain intelligence for institutions. Produce a diverse range of research and analysis, including regular market updates, in-depth reports, and custom analyses designed to provide investors with actionable insights into market cycles and trends.

• Demonstrate how on-chain data provides critical macro insights:
  
  

Partner with product and data science teams to highlight the role of on-chain analytics in forecasting market movements. Develop frameworks that leverage Glassnode’s proprietary data to help investors identify key signals, such as market tops, bottoms, and liquidity events that traditional metrics often overlook. Illustrate how on-chain data provides a deeper understanding of market dynamics, offering unique perspectives that empower investors to respond proactively to market conditions.

• Establish Glassnode as an indispensable tool for institutional investors:
  
  

Collaborate closely with commercial and product teams to present the strategic value of Glassnode Studio’s analytics as an integral component of digital asset investors’ toolkits. Position on-chain analytics alongside traditional financial metrics, showcasing its role in providing unique insights that drive more informed investment decisions. Effectively communicate how Glassnode integrates into broader investment strategies, helping clients navigate complex market environments.

• Expand Glassnode’s research and advisory offering:
  
  

Build out Glassnode Insights’ services, producing commissioned research and analysis for proprietary use, licensed use, or co-branded initiatives. Collaborate with clients to create tailored research that exemplifies how on-chain data can be applied to specific investment strategies. Develop advisory and educational services that enhance the understanding of blockchain’s intersection with global financial trends, reinforcing how on-chain metrics complement and enhance traditional macroeconomic tools.

• Lead the evolution of blockchain intelligence for investors:
  
  

Continuously innovate and improve how Glassnode’s on-chain analytics are used within the broader financial ecosystem. Work collaboratively across teams to identify new opportunities where on-chain data can enhance traditional financial models, enabling investors to better understand market sentiment, liquidity flows, and long-term macro trends. Take full ownership of Glassnode’s role in shaping the future of blockchain-driven investment insights.

What We’re Looking For. Must-Haves

• Proven experience in macro research and capital markets:
  
  

Expertise in analysing market cycles, trends, and macroeconomic conditions that directly impact investment decisions, preferably gained within asset management firms, hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, or treasuries.

• Deep understanding of institutional investment strategies:
  
  

Sophisticated understanding of how professional investors utilise macro data and analytics to guide decisions, focusing on long-term performance in traditional and digital asset markets.

• Strong interest in behavioural finance and market psychology:
  
  

Expertise in market biases and heuristics influencing investment behaviour, ideally leveraging alternative data sets to capture sentiment-driven market actions.

Nice-to-Haves

• Expertise in large-cap blockchains:
  
  

Especially in Ethereum, Solana, and their blue-chip DeFi platforms.

• Familiarity with on-chain analytics:
  
  

Understanding of how to translate complex on-chain data into narratives that resonate with traders, investors, and macroeconomic analysts, showing its relevance to broader market signals.

• Experience with blockchain data platforms:
  
  

Such as EthScan,Dune Analytics, or FlipSide.

• Technical proficiency in advanced data analysis:
  
  

Using Python, R, SQL, or similar for data visualisation and analytics.
