Job summary

Designs, builds, and maintains Android applications, focusing on creating functional and user-friendly mobile experiences for leading banking application in Australia.

About the role

• Develop and enhance native Android applications within their Ecosystem.
• Architect applications using MVVM and Jetpack Compose while optimizing for performance.
• Implement scalable, testable, and maintainable code for mobile features.
• Work closely with designers to implement high-quality UI/UX components.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create new features
• Implementing and integrating APIs and third-party libraries

Skills and experience

• 8+ years of experience in native Android development (Kotlin, Java).
• Strong expertise in MVVM architecture and Jetpack Compose.
• Deep understanding of Activity/Fragment lifecycle, state management, and UI rendering.
• Proficiency in dependency injection frameworks (Dagger, Hilt) and performance optimization techniques.
• Strong knowledge of constraint layouts, accessibility standards, and UI responsiveness.
• Experience with unit testing, UI testing, and test automation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
