DevOps Engineer

BLACKROC is partnering with a leading utilities provider to find a talented DevOps Engineer who can take the lead on high-impact cloud automation and infrastructure projects. You'll be working within a forward-thinking team focused on Azure and AWS environments, with a key role in driving continuous improvement across the tech stack.

Role Purpose

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust and scalable infrastructure solutions using IaC and automation tools. You’ll help drive improvements across cloud services and act as a point of technical escalation in a dynamic and evolving cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automation processes
• Design and implement infrastructure on Azure and AWS
• Monitor cloud performance and manage operational incidents
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality services
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve operations
• Ensure cloud security, cost management, and service availability

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years in DevOps or Systems Administration
• Strong experience with Azure (preferred) and/or AWS
• Proven scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Deep understanding of IaC and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure/AWS DevOps Certifications
• Experience in regulated or utility industries
• Broader certifications across networking, Microsoft, Citrix, or VMware
