Join a forward-thinking public sector organisation responsible for delivering critical digital infrastructure across Queensland. We're seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of cloud services, supporting a large-scale enterprise environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll play a key role in driving cloud transformation by building scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure and automation frameworks. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll deliver robust CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and cutting-edge solutions across Azure and AWS.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using IaC and DevOps best practices
• Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment processes
• Lead performance monitoring, incident resolution, and platform improvements
• Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance cloud operations
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align cloud capabilities with strategic business needs
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives across cloud platforms

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years' experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Systems Administration
• Hands-on expertise with Azure and/or AWS platforms
• Strong scripting and automation experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash)
• Deep understanding of CI/CD tools and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation)
• Knowledge of ITIL and modern DevOps methodologies
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and collaborative skills
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) - highly regarded
