Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!
Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!
Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job Description
Amaris Consulting is seeking a talented Senior PHP Developer with skills in PHP, MySQL, and DevOps practices to join our dynamic team in Brussels. This full-time position is perfect for someone who excels in developing innovative software solutions while fostering a collaborative learning environment.
🔥 Your Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using PHP and MySQL.
- Coach and mentor junior developers to enhance their skills and performance.
- Collaborate with technical teams to understand and fulfill functional requirements.
- Conduct unit testing to ensure high-quality code.
- Implement best practices for secure coding and software development.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
- Provide technical support to end-users when necessary.
- Efficiently manage and resolve technical issues or bugs identified in the system.
- Deliver precise technical documentation for projects.
- Implement and manage DevOps practices to streamline development and deployment processes.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as a developer or in a similar role.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (a master’s degree is preferred).
- Excellent knowledge of PHP and MySQL programming languages.
- Strong experience in software testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work in an Agile environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Passionate about coaching and mentoring others while capable of working independently.
- Mobility to work in Brussels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
