AI Futures are searching for an Applied AI Scientist for VC-funded AI Start-Up in Southern Germany.

This company specializes on document automation and has recently received funding from multinational investors. They have provided services to some of the largest German tech companies. They are a dynamic and rapidly developing B2B company that is set to scale.

This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced AI Research Scientist with product experience to join an exciting and rapidly scaling business. You will have the opportunity to join a dynamic international team at a crucial time in their journey.

The Role

• Product- and user-centric ML optimization, along with the design and development of NLP and deep learning models.
• Deployment of AI-powered solutions in real-world production settings.
• Apply advanced research to practical problems in AI, ML, NLP, text analytics, and deep learning.
• Tackle mission-critical challenges in sectors like healthcare and manufacturing using innovative AI/ML models.
• Contribute to publications, file patents, and represent the organization at industry conferences and workshops.
• Enhance AI models for performance and scalability, working with large and complex datasets.

The Candidate

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence.
• Over 5 years of practical product-focused experience in AI/ML/NLP development.
• Proficient in Python and C++, with expertise in frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
• Extensive background in Machine Learning, NLP, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision.
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and MLOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, RabbitMQ, etc.)
• Well-versed in AI agents, text analytics, document understanding, and related areas.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.
