Information about the position

Engineering at Vinted is divided into Infrastructure and Product. This position is for Product Engineering, where teams develop new features from start to finish and roll them out to all our members or internal users. The teams are led by engineering managers who will report to you. We’re looking for a Director of Engineering who would contribute to the Vinted vision of making second-hand the first choice. You’ll also be responsible for the health, morale, and efficiency of multiple teams in Product Engineering.

In this position, you’ll

• Create, align, and execute the domain’s vision and strategy together with the rest of domain leadership (Product Management, Design, and Data Science & Analytics).
• Ensure that engineering in your domain enables the achievement of domain vision while meeting Vinted-wide engineering principles.
• Be accountable for domain delivery management while balancing competing deliverables (tech strategy vs business initiatives).
• Search for organizational efficiency all the time (processes and procedures between the teams, change management, talent development, team member experience, overall domain budget).
• Lead and support your team of 3-5 Engineering Managers (potentially expanding to 7 over time), a Staff Engineer, and if needed - an Agile Coach. Focus on their professional and personal development to ensure high team performance.

The salary range for this position is € 7,758- € 10,492 gross per month.
