Are you interested in tech? Then you should continue reading. BFNL, part of Epassi group are growing and we are looking for a Backend Developer to be based in one of our Netherlands office locations (Amsterdam or Heerenveen)

We are looking for a driven senior Symfony back-end developer to strengthen our team. In this role you will work together on a platform that is the backbone of our product, which is used by thousands of users daily. This platform is built in Symfony 6 in combination with API platform. You contribute to the expansion, growth, security and internationalization of our platform.

What are you going to do?

• Developing and improving the backend functionalities of our platform.
• Building and optimizing APIs used by our mobile and web applications.
• Working on scalability and security to ensure a seamless experience.
• Collaborate with a team of developers, product owners and UX/UI designers to implement new features and improve existing features.
• Identify and resolve issues that arise during our users' use of the Platform.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap and architectural decisions of the project.
  
  

What are we asking?

• Minimum 5 years of experience with PHP and Symfony (experience with API platform is a plus).
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs.
• Good knowledge of MySQL databases.
• Experience with GIT version control systems.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum work environments.
• Basic knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript is a plus.
• Experience with cloud solutions (e.g. AWS) and DevOps tools is a plus.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• English experience is required, Dutch is an advantage
