Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and commercially-minded Account Manager to join the team. This role is ideal for a payments professional with strong client-facing and upselling skills. You will play a crucial role in nurturing existing relationships, enhancing client retention, and contributing to revenue growth. This position combines account management with commercial development, requiring confidence in client communication, representation at conferences, and identifying upsell opportunities.

Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and commercially-minded Account Manager to join the team. This role is ideal for a payments professional with strong client-facing and upselling skills. You will play a crucial role in nurturing existing relationships, enhancing client retention, and contributing to revenue growth. This position combines account management with commercial development, requiring confidence in client communication, representation at conferences, and identifying upsell opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Oversee client relationships from onboarding through ongoing support and performance tracking.
- Documentation Management: Handle and organise all client documentation during the onboarding and operational phases.
- Event Representation: Travel to and represent the company at trade shows and conferences across Europe.
- Upsell Opportunities: Actively seek upsell opportunities and expand merchant usage.
- Lead Generation Support: Assist with lead generation and client acquisition efforts.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively across remote teams and report directly to the leadership team.
- Experience: 1.5+ years in payments, fintech, or high-risk financial services; prior exposure to acquiring, card issuance, or platform products is a plus.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong ability to sell and build trust with clients.
- Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English.
- Location: Based in Barcelona or willing to travel within Europe for industry events.
- Attributes: Smart, proactive, and coachable, with a willingness to grow into the role.
- Experience in high-risk merchant onboarding or payment orchestration.
- Technical understanding of PSPs, card schemes, or merchant routing.
- Knowledge of crypto payments or blockchain-based fintech.
