Data Business Analyst

Who We Are

We are engaging in a programme of work to design and build a platform for our client on which data products can be built, tested, provided to the business, used, monitored and maintained.

We are providing the ability to build a Data Product Factory organisation within BA, covering organisational design, ways of working and requirements management.

What You'll Be Doing

The Data Business Analysts will manage, facilitate and execute the requirements management processes
Provide input to the design and maintenance of these requirements management processes
Understand the BA organisation, identify the relevant parties and stakeholders for DPF processes
Form working relationships with relevant stakeholders to facilitate communication and understanding
Manage and communicate the processes of the requirements lifecycle and prioritisation
Ensure that requirements (and related concepts) are sufficient to allow high quality design, engineering and testing to meet the agreed expectations and needs of the business
Ensure that requirements (and related concepts) are recorded, tracked, measured, audited and managed across the programme

What You'll Bring Along

Bachelor’s degree in Informatics/ or similar field of study/or equivalent working experience is required
A min 5-7 years demonstrable experience in a similar role is required
Experience in data-heavy environments
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, ETL processes, and familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, Snowflake)
Knowledge of programming (e.g., Python, R) or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is often a plus
BI Tools: Power BI, Tableau
Database Systems: MySQL or related
Project management: Jira, Confluence
Previous working with a range of data platforms and solutions
Been involved in understanding, developing and communicating technical requirements for data solutions
Experience working within a complex and/or high pressure environment with technical and business stakeholders
Knowledge and experience working with a range of data technologies
Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights
