The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Games Developer to join a growing team in central Stockholm. You will be instrumental in building scalable, high-performance systems that deliver seamless and engaging real-time gaming experiences to our users.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design, develop, and implement core game logic and features for live casino games, utilising JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain robust and scalable multiplayer server architecture using Node.js.
• Implement and optimize real-time communication protocols, with a strong focus on WebRTC, to ensure low-latency and reliable interactions between players and the live stream.
• Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and other engineers to bring compelling and innovative live casino experiences to life.
• Contribute to the entire development lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to deployment and maintenance.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and ensure the stability and scalability of our gaming platform.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in game development, real-time communication, and cloud-based solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools.
• Specifically leverage your experience in developing live casino games to contribute to the unique features and functionalities of our platform.

What We're Looking For:

• Expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript: Proven ability to write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code in these languages.
• Experience with WebRTC
• Solid experience with Node.js: Proficiency in building backend applications and APIs using Node.js, including experience with relevant frameworks and libraries.
• Comprehensive knowledge of real-time communication principles and technologies: communication paradigms.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing multiplayer server architecture: Ability to create scalable and performant server solutions that can handle a large number of concurrent users.
• A strong passion for building scalable and high-performance systems
• Demonstrable experience in developing live casino games
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
• A proactive and self-driven attitude with a strong sense of ownership.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with other relevant technologies such as containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), and databases (SQL, NoSQL).
• Familiarity with game development frameworks and engines.
• Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Knowledge of video streaming technologies and protocols.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
