Network Administrator

Responsibilities:

Network Design and Implementation:

• Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructures, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
• Configure and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Implement network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access control lists.
• Monitor network performance and optimize network resources.

Network Operations and Maintenance:

• Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Perform routine network maintenance tasks, such as firmware upgrades, software patches, and security updates.
• Troubleshoot network problems and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
• Manage network documentation and configuration changes.

On-Call Support:

• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 support for critical network issues.
• Respond to network alerts and outages promptly.
• Escalate issues to appropriate teams or vendors as needed.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in network administration.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSI model, etc.).
• Experience with network devices (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, etc.).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CCNA or higher certification preferred.
• Must reside in Memphis, TN.
