Senior Manager Network Strategy and Innovation

Developing and implementing the organization's vision for its telecom network, by identifying and evaluating new and emerging technologies that can drive business value and support the organization's strategic goals to deliver superior customer experience.

Minimum role requirements:
Bachelors in relevant discipline
8 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a Leadership position.

Key Accountabilities

Explore vendor and CSP capabilities for network solutions to address Omantel's operational issues
Develop, manage and maintain a vendor strategy to ensure vendor relationships deliver the intended value
Collaborate with Omantel Innovation Lab for Hackathons to develop new solutions
Form partnerships with universities, startups, and research institutes for collaborative research in networks
Implement agile methodologies for the development of ideas and technologies
Assess internal network capabilities for commercialization potential
Manage vendor lab environment for Omantel's capabilities and modernization
Develop and maintain Telecom Network and Spectrum Strategies
Define telecom network and spectrum utilization strategic plans
Establish a Technology Radar for Telecom Network and Spectrum
Scan telecoms and adjacent industries for network trends and disruptions
Conduct Trials and PoCs for new network products and features
Coordinate Technology Strategic Plans with subsidiaries Top of Form
Leverage existing Technology Partners and explore new capabilities

Key Accountabilities

Collaborate with the business to identify new products and develop use cases
Oversee cost-benefit analysis for adopting/disposing technologies
Develop telecom network and spectrum long-term financial investment plans for Telecom Network and Spectrum
Determine user device requirements for optimal performance in Omantel's network
Identify internal operational challenges and lead technology innovation efforts
Identify execution stakeholders of the technology roadmap and oversee the creation of formally planned and budgeted strategic plans & initiatives
Compile response plans and coordinate actions across Technology & Digital functions
