Purpose of the role

This senior software developer sits within our software developer team and plays a crucial role in delivering our software development projects while ensuring compliance and maintaining high-quality standards.
Principal Accountabilities
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and understand project goals
- Design and develop software applications, features, and modules using programming languages and technologies including (but not limited to) C#, .NET, IIS, AWS, MySQL, MS SQL
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards
- Perform thorough testing and debugging of software components to ensure high quality and reliability
- Participate in code reviews to provide and receive constructive feedback and ensure code quality
- Collaborate in the QA process to identify and fix defects and ensure optimal performance
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies, and propose new ideas to enhance software development processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by clients, ensuring timely and effective problem resolution
- Contribute to documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and API documentation
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of software applications in various environments
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Software Developer in similar technology stacks
- Proficiency in C#, .NET, MySQL, MS SQL, IIS
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail
- Familiarity with software development best practices, including version control, testing methodologies, and code reviews
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
