Your new role
As a Network Administrator you will be required to undertake activities and tasks using available information where options are not always evident. It will be required to perform procedural, clerical, administrative and operational tasks that supports and contributes organisation’s objectives.
You will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Providing staff with technical assistance and resolving network issues.
- Assisting in the management and maintenance of the LAN/WAN infrastructure and configuration of the Agency's ICT network.
- Writing technical documentation and ensuring existing documentation is accurate and up to date with the Agency's Network.
- Supporting and implementing change management activities.
- Working with internal and external stakeholders, providing responses and resolving network incidents.
- Monitoring network performance, detecting and resolving issues proactively.
- Executing network upgrades and expansions, supporting organisational growth and technological advancements.
- Identifying where current environment does not align with Network Security Expert principles and resolving or escalating for appropriate actions.
What you need to succeed
- Australian citizenship is mandatory to be eligible to secure a baseline clearance.
- Experience in resolving network issues, assisting in the management and maintenance of the LAN/WAN infrastructure, writing technical documentation, supporting, and implementing change management activities.
- Experience in working with internal and external stakeholders, monitoring network performance, executing network upgrades and expansions.
- Experience with Fortinet environments back with certifications such as Fortinet NSE 4 or Higher.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNA).
- Experience and competency following ITIL process.
What you'll get in return
- Initial 18-month contract + potential extensions.
- $55 - $60 per hour + Super.
- Hybrid role.
