Your new role
As a Network Engineer you will be responsible to undertake complex work that is guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies, and precedents.
You may be required to perform work that involves team leadership and management responsibilities requiring the setting of priorities and managing workflows of a team. You will be required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support, and advice in relation to complex problems. Where required, you will coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the organisation’s objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Contributing towards the design, build, deployment, and support of ICT network solutions.
- Developing and managing WAN/LAN infrastructure for an enterprise using certified methods supported by recognised network accreditations.
- Managing security protocols across physical, wireless and cloud networks as described in the Network Security Expert Certification Program.
- Resolving end user and application issues related to network infrastructure using accredited infrastructure management certification methods.
- Supporting change management activities.
- Contributing towards network testing, patching and quality control. • Serving as a networking technology Subject Matter Expert (SME) by referencing knowledge available in globally recognised networking accreditations.
What you need to succeed
- Australian citizenship is mandatory to be eligible to secure a baseline clearance.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a network engineering.
- Experience managing ICT infrastructure at an enterprise level.
- Experience and competency following ITIL process.
- Familiar with cloud-based network environments such as AWS and Azure.
- Contributing towards the design, build, deployment, and support of ICT network solutions.
- Experience in developing and managing WAN/LAN infrastructure for an enterprise using certified methods supported by recognised network accreditations.
- Experience in managing security protocols across physical, wireless and cloud networks as described in the Network Security Expert Certification Program.
- Resolving end user and application issues related to network infrastructure using accredited infrastructure management certification methods.
- Experience in contributing towards network testing, patching and quality control.
- Experience with Fortinet environments, backed with certifications such as Fortinet NSE 4 or higher.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- Experience in Terraform coding.
- Experience with zero trust access solutions such as Zscaler and Cloudflare.
What you'll get in return
- Initial 18-month contract + potential extensions.
- $60 - $70 per hour + Super.
- Hybrid role.
