Location: Utrecht | Department: Finance & Compliance | Full-time/Part-time | Hybrid (2/3 days in office)

We’re looking for a proactive Information Security Officer to join our team in Utrecht. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of safeguarding our organization’s assets, employees, and information. You’ll work closely with the Senior Information Security Manager and the Chief Security Officer. Your influence between the Security department and the other teams is key to ensure our security posture remains strong and resilient.

What you’ll do:

• Implement security measures to protect our data and infrastructure.
• Monitor systems like surveillance, access control, and alarms to detect threats.
• Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
• Respond to incidents such as breaches or unauthorized access, and coordinate with authorities when needed.
• Train employees on security awareness and best practices.
• Maintain documentation of incidents, audits, and compliance efforts.
• Act as liaison for internal and external security-related matters.
• Advise leadership on emerging threats and mitigation strategies.

What you bring:

• A bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Information Security, or a related field.
• Appr. 3 years of experience in security management or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• A high level of integrity, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
• Certifications like CISSP or CISM are a plus.
