Day-to-day work & projects cooking
As our new iOS Developer, you are joining the APPS team in the Advertising domain, the squad building and maintaining ad experiences in native mobile apps across several top Nordic marketplaces. Your focus is on crafting, refining, and evolving how ads appear and perform in our native iOS apps used daily by millions of people in the Nordics.
You build and improve how advertising is experienced by users and advertisers on iOS, working closely with designers, product managers, and engineers from other disciplines. You contribute to new ad features, work in a cross-functional team on new ad features, SDK integrations, A/B tests, and platform improvements, and think creatively about what mobile advertising could look like in the future. Whether you're building shared ad modules, integrating Google Ad Manager, or experimenting with A/B tests to validate hypotheses, you're always looking for ways to improve both performance and the overall experience.
You work closely with backend, product, and analytics teams, and you often sync with Android and web colleagues to ensure a cohesive experience across platforms. It’s a hands-on role with a good balance of legacy and greenfield work, giving you the opportunity to explore new ideas while strengthening what's already in place.
By month six, you’ve shipped features, earned trust, and are actively shaping how we build and improve iOS apps. At the one-year mark, you’re the go-to iOS expert in the Advertising space — initiating improvements, mentoring others, and driving the roadmap forward.
Colleagues
We’re a tight-knit Ads APPS team, currently 5 people: 2 iOS devs (1 full-time, 1 consultant), 2 Android devs (both consultants), and a manager, Amir. You are our new full-time iOS developer and help set the tone and direction of our team. Our culture is our strength: You are trusted to make good things happen. And you’ll be backed by a company that supports you in doing just that.
The challenge turns into an opportunity!
We’re improving how we approach advertising on mobile, both technically and from a user experience angle. It’s a mix of legacy and greenfield. Your challenge is to help evolve our setup while keeping things stable, and your opportunity is to influence foundational decisions and shape the future of advertising at Vend. You are not afraid to challenge how things are done, take the lead, and experiment with bold ideas. If you're a builder, a thinker, and a collaborator, this is your playground.
GOT YOUR ATTENTION? Let us hear from you!
Turn yourself in by Thursday, 29th May. You can choose whether to send your cover letter or go through some questions we prepared to get to know you better :) We will start with the first round of interviews after the application period, to give everyone a fair shot.
