Junior Cyber Security Engineer

Job Summary:

The Cyber Security Engineer (CSE) will work in a well-known organisation, highly collaborative environment with cross-functional teams. The CSE will need to be able to understand cybersecurity tools and their functionality. CSE will be exposed and have great hands-on experience with various cybersecurity tools that are used in a financial institute.

Responsibilities

• Manage renewal of organisation's portfolio of cybersecurity solutions.
• Supporting staff at security division for various forums/meetings.
• Participate and support cybersecurity assurance activities such as VAPT, Red Teaming, Table-top Exercises.
• Manage, operate, administer, and optimize the organisation's portfolio of cybersecurity solutions, e.g., IDS/IPS, email defences, EPP, DLP, Vulnerability Management, PAM solutions, IAM/IGA, DAM, proxy, NGFW.
• Responsible for day-to-day cybersecurity operational activities pertaining to security solution assigned.
• Responsible for end-to-end security solution design and project implementation.
• Responsible for identifying security controls based on security-by-design methodology to ensure solutions adopt their required security posture.
• Implement, operationalise, and optimise new cybersecurity solutions as required.
• Own and ensure the security solutions documents are up to date.
• Assist with security incident response activities including containment and recovery when the need arises
• Stay current on the latest cybersecurity industry trends, technologies, and techniques, and conduct cybersecurity awareness training within the company.
• Support colleagues and cover duties when required.
  
  
  
  

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information
• Security related fields.
• Experience with administering cybersecurity security solutions.
• Possess a deep understanding of various Operating Systems.
• Experience with programming/scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc) will be a plus.
• At least 1 to 2 years of experience supporting cybersecurity operations in an On-Prem or AWS environment.
• An effective communicator who can create and maintain constructive relationships with stakeholders, vendors and colleagues.
• Able to work independently and manage work well to meet project datelines.
• IT infra experience with be a plus.
• Fresh diploma/degree can be considered.
